Social Media for Hardware and Building Supply Shops

Nobody scrolls for pipes. But plenty of people are standing in a half-built room with a problem, and whoever explains that problem clearly gets the order.

Answer the questions builders actually ask

Which size fits, how much you need for a room this big, what the cheap one does after one monsoon. Each of those is a thirty-second video and none of them needs a script.

Show the difference, side by side

Price differences make sense the moment they are visible.

  • The cheap fitting and the good one, in your hand, together.
  • What a bad joint looks like after a year.
  • How much a full room of tiles actually costs, out loud.
  • What you keep in stock today versus what takes three days.

Say the rate, even if it changes

Rates move, so most shops refuse to say anything. Give today rate with the date on screen. It costs you nothing and it stops the endless price inbox messages.

Your best salesperson is behind the counter

The person who explains things to walk-in customers all day is already good on camera. Point a phone at them explaining one thing and post it. Do not write them a script.

Real examples

Bad line, good line.

Most people write

"All types of hardware available. Best rate."

Say this instead

"A 10ft by 12ft room takes about 130 tiles. Here is what that costs today."

Most people write

"Rate inbox, rates change daily."

Say this instead

"Today rate, 18 Bhadra: NPR 62 per foot." With the date on screen.

Full example

Worked example: a shop in Balaju

01Film your counter man answering the ten questions he answers every day.
02Do one cheap-versus-good comparison, both items in hand.
03Post dated rates for three fast-moving items every week.

Cheap versus good

Rates and stock

Today rate, dated, and what is in stock.

Nobody scrolls for pipes. They scroll for an answer.

Whoever explains the problem gets the order for the solution.

Do this week

Three things you can do now.

01List the ten questions customers ask at your counter and film each in under a minute.
02Film one honest cheap-versus-good comparison this week.
03Post today rate for your three fastest-moving items with the date on screen.
